PADI Signal Marker Buoy Speciality
Boats and currents are two key factors to consider at many dive sites. Sometimes boaters might not realize there are divers nearby, and currents can unexpectedly carry you farther than planned. By launching a delayed surface marker buoy (DSMB) before surfacing, you can signal your location in advance, ensuring your ascent is safe and noticed.
A DSMB adds another layer of safety, providing a visual reference and allowing you to complete your safety stop even in strong currents or when other visual markers are absent.
Ready to enhance your diving skills? Enroll in the DSMB Diver course and discover all the beneficial uses of a DSMB. You just need to be a PADI Open Water Diver aged 12 or older to join.
It is recommended for the student to have his own DSMB during the divers for better practice. Alternatively DSMB can be rented on the day of the dive.
