PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course

Step 1: Complete Your PADI eLearning
Once you book, we'll assign your PADI eLearning and help you shortlist 3 out of the 5 adventure dives required in the course. Deep and Underwater Navigation are mandatory dives while the remaining 3 dives can be of your choice. The selection can be based on your preference, Instructor recommendation and/or schedule. Based on the dives selected, you will then complete the relevant sections of the PADI eLearning from the PADI app on your phone, tablet or laptop, at your own pace. Most of our students finish in 4 to 6 hours. 

Step 2: Start Day 1 with 2 or 3  Elective Dives
Your Day 1 starts with general briefing on "Thinking Like Diver" concepts where you learn what it takes to be an Advance Diver. We recommend divers to start with Underwater Navigation (mandatory dive) and Peak Performance Buoyancy (elective dive) on day 1 so the Instructor can focus on polishing your foundational skills as a diver.

Step 3: Go Deeper on Day 2
Your second mandatory dive - Deep Adventure Dive is scheduled on second day along with other 2 or 3 elective dives depending on how many you completed on day 1.

Graduation: Congratulations, You're now a PADI Advance Open Water!

Once you've completed all required 5 dives, your Instructor will debrief you, review any theory you'd like to go over and present your DiveCampus wall certificate. Your PADI eCard is usually processed within 24 to 48 hours.

Depending on the type of elective dives you have chosen your training may be scheduled over 2 or 3 days. Minimum 2 days is required to complete this course and by PADI standards cannot be squeezed into same day.

DiveCampus is the only diving club in the UAE to offer widest range of Adventure Dives in the UAE to choose from. Experience new adventures like fine-tuning your buoyancy skills, build confidence in your navigation abilities, and try new activities like wreck diving, night diving or underwater videography. An Advanced Open Water Diver certification also opens the door to dive sites of up to 30 meters deep.

There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three from the list below or plan your learning path with our specialised Instructors.

Standard Adventure/Elective Dives: (Gear rental inclusive in course fee): Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search & Recovery, Wreck Diving, Signal Marker Buoy, Nitrox Adventure Dive, Drift Diver, Rescue Adventure Dive, Shark Conservation Adventure, Night Diving, Dive Against Debris, Fish Identification and Underwater Naturalist

Premium Adventure/Elective Dives: (Rental charges apply for respective specialised gear - speak to our team to know more): Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV), Full Face Mask, Self-Reliant Adventure Dive, Digital Underwater Imaging, Sidemount Adventure Dive

Your course fee includes: PADI eLearning fee, Equipment rental during the course, Guaranteed 1:4 (or less) Instructor to Student Ratio, Male or Female Instructor, 5 Ocean Dives, Refreshments during your boat dives, 10% off on select products to buy your own scuba gear, Dive Insurance during your training worth AED 290 and PADI Advance Open Water Diver eCard (Internationally recognized)

What's not included: Transportation cost to and from Khorfakkan. Rental charges for specialised gear for premium adventure/elective dives.
